    Today/Last night I have;

1)Booked flights for a stag do in Magaluf via quidco, so £2 back there.
2)Found out that 4 nights accommodation out there is only going to cost a total of £26.50, as the guy booking it found a good deal AND got £80 off! So flights and accommodation for less than £200!
3)Redeemed £10 amazon vouchers, so i now have £45 built up in vouchers on the site, which all helps towards my 'free' xbox 360!
    4)Done other quidco clicks etc.
5)A rummage in a charity shop revealed a book for 50p that starts at £11 on amazon, so will go back for that tomorrow (which won't be there!).
"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."
  • Today I've...

    - made £3.88 selling a book on amazon
    - was going to buy The Money Diet on amazon but checked my local library listings...they've got it there so I'm going to borrow it...sorry Martin!!
    - changed my heating timer to click off half an hour earlier in the morning and to click on half an hour later in the evening
    - had my first no spend day since starting my spending diary last week...yey!
    Lightbulb moment...Mar 2008, Consumer debts at LBM...£7086
    Current debt total...£6857
    Mad eBay challenge...£72/£200
    Christmas 08 challenge...£35.45/£250
    June £10 a day challenge...£92.69/£300

Quite a lot today - had the day off to wait in for a courier delivery (usual thing - "Sometime before 6pm") so couldn't even go out for a paper for fear of missing him!

Off tomorrow to earn a bit of extra cash of lecturing- only £50 for about 6 hours of which oodles of preparation has gone in. So, that's some more holiday cash gathered.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

  • Hi All,

    First post on this thread.

Finally got rid of the Shabbey last Saturday, so, given today's news, have started reclaiming from them.

    Good luck to you all,

    Mark

Hello, a late post from me today. You guys have done well today!
    Here's my efforts:
    • did some washing on 30, will line dry
    • cleaned entire flat when I got home from work, put all random change found into money box.
    • put aside packaging to reuse for ebay sales
    • sent ebay package
    • have waited a month longer than usual to redye my hair, and did it myself instead of going to salon (changed hairstyle last year so I could leave it longer between cuts and just have a fringe trim if I got desperate!). Plus the dye I bought on sale for £1 instead of my usual brand not on sale for over £5.
    • asked my folks to bring some cuttings from their garden to transplant into ours to make it prettier but save some money on plants
    • checked online banking & moved some cash into a different account to help me not spend it. I just got paid, so I leave myself a set amount of money in my main account for the month with the aim of not spending more than that or ending up overdrawn by next pay day. Got paid by one of my MS co's as well.
    • cancelled the direct debit on a credit card I'm about to cancel
    • OH & I treated ourselves to pizza this evening, but I used a 25% off code
    • ordered flowers for OH's Nan's birthday tomorrow but did it via quidco so got 5% back
    • did some quidco clicks for some extra pence
    • did pigsback clicks for a few points
    • checked mystery shopping, no new jobs though did register interest in possible upcoming one
    • finished submitting report for a big MS task
    • started trying to work out what's the best saving account to get re interest rate etc, but am just confused now. Will look at it again tomorrow/over the weekend.
    • vowed to myself to get stuff on eBay this weekend after surveying flat while cleaning it!!!!
