When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will:

Hi Everyone,
Not sure that I can do too much today but here goes.
1) Raid the back of the cupboard for my dinner.
2) Clear out all the junk in the back of my car - should cut down on diesel consumption.
3) Update by cash diary
Anyway, have a nice day y'all."Life's Too Short To Drink Bad Wine"0 -
Having a quiet day at home today as I did far too much yesterday but did enjoy it(limited stamina as I have RA).
Creating the order and methods that will keep the home economy running smoothly is taking far more time than I first thought, but it is fascinating the way we have changed our attitudes to our possessions and spending. I know cleaning rooms and sorting cupboards etc may not seem very DFW, but
it is working for us!
Today I shall
- tidy the kitchen and cook today's meals from the cupboard / freezer
- work on the ironing mountain while enjoying a video or dvd
- start on a shopping list & menu for next month
- must post ink cartridge to Tesco for 100 points
I have tried to do my piggy clicks but had none (Pigsback gives me less and less
) & also did Quidco clicks (DS's purchase tracked immediately, highly recommended
).
Yesterday's washing got an extra rinse last night as OH forgot to bring it all  in so must rescue that.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
