Barclays ISA help needed please

Hi
I set up a Barclays ISA 3rd April this year (I know, I'm a late one!). On the 22nd April I received the initial letter, and the next day I received the pack.
During this time, I went into branch to see why I hadn't received anything and why the money was still in my account, as I'd been told it only takes 14 days to set up. She said there'd been a huge backlog, but they were getting through them. She confirmed that it didn't matter when I receive the paperwork, because I'd set it up on the 3rd April I'd be OK for the last tax year.
However, the account paperwork says 'account set up date 18th April 2008', which is obviously when they processed it.
I spoke to another Barclays worker on the phone whilst waiting for the paperwork. He confirmed the account had been set up on the 18th April, but said the ISA would be for the last tax year. Something makes me not trust them tho!
Especially when I read another post on a Barclays board saying they had a similar problem, and then the following April had a nasty letter saying they'd set up two ISAs with new money in one tax year.
Anyone else had this experience? Any advice?
TIA

I rang up Barclays today for exactly the same reason - set up an ISA on the 31st/1st and got the letter saying that the account was opened on the 11th April. When I rang the lady said that the Sort Code on my account was for last year's ISA allocation and not to worry, that I still had £3600 to deposit for this tax year.
Think I'll have to find out more about this, thanks
