Quick Question: Statements request and £10 charge

Options
Is it acceptable to send cash (£10) rather than a cheque, regardless of the risk to myself.

Edit: Another question while I'm here,

Is it ok to request the statements be sent to an address other than the one the account in question is registered at?

I'd check with the bank on both counts as a problem with either could cause a delay in getting the information.

Unfortunately that's really not an option, unless, I try via e-mail. I was hoping not to have any direct contact with the bank in question until later. The matter involves more than reclaiming bank charges.

I have asked Abbey to deduct £10 from my account to cover the cost but that was over 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing as of yet.
