My bfs parents rent a car from avis monthly. they say it works out cheaper for them.
Recently their local Avis have been taken over by a new manager, who charged the money to my bfs mums credit card when she usually deals with them in cash, and are now asking her to pay £30 so they can close her account and then open it back up again!
I was wondering if any other MSers had had experiences like this and what i can suggest to help them?
Surely they cannot take the money from her credit card without her consent...can she get it reversed and can she block them from taking future payments?
Also i cant find this type of thing on their website so i cant read the t&c's.
any help appreciated.

i believe they went into the local avis dealer and arranged it with them, might be worth popping in and having a chat.
they gat a new car every so many miles and the car is guaranteed to be between 0-6months old. Insurance, tax and mot is paid, all you pay for is petrol.
its a good scheme if you drive a lot of miles.SPC Member #1654
