Fingers Crossed For Reclaimers

Options
What a day tomorrow... still no hints though some clues that the judgement is 150 pages long.

I will be outside the high court and have a host of interviews set up. I'm a little worried as news demands interviews on the second but who can read 150 pages in seconds.

Still lets hope we get a win for reclaimers

I, for one, will be watching this space with interest as I had started my claim just weeks before the cases were put on hold.

i have not yet asked for my account charges to be reclaimed, just the credit card ones for the main reason that there is such a backlog if things do go in favour of the customers who knows how long everyone will be waiting for their money. A bit pessimistic i know. I really hope the ruling does not go in favour of the banks. Martin thank you so much for bringing this to everyones attention. If i had not seen you on the television talking about this i would never have known about it. Hopefully we will all be able to get OUR money back off the banks asap.

  • Having just got a letter form the Court saying apply for a further stay or the case will be thrown out I am waiting with baited breath for this ruling.

I will also be glued to the decision tomorrow. I have one more claim pending so I have my fingers crossed that the result tomorrow is a positive one!

ooh exciting Martin, will be watching.

I am sure you will be fine, whatever the outcome of the case (though hopefully its the right one and those ridiculously high penalty charges will be no more...)
I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...
  • Thanks Martin, but let's not get too much ahead of ourselves. The decision today will merely be whether the OFT can assess banks' T&Cs under fairness regulations.

It won't actually tell us whether charges are fair or not (that will be for the OFT to go away and report on, if today's decision says they can) and will no doubt be subject to appeals by the 'losing' side.

Like everyone else, I'm interested in what's going to be said today, but I think we all need to manage our expectations. There's no point in everyone getting over-excited - this is potentially part of a much longer process.
Everyone needs something to believe in.
