Try this one......
I recently bought a new kitchen from B&Q (£2600). When fitting it with my brother-in-law there were a few minor scratches / dents / chips. Also the sink they delivered was dented. So I complained in usual style at the local store and they replaced for free (as usual) and even upgraded the sink to a better one for free.
HOWEVER - as it took me all day and I was a bit p***ed of about wasting a day of my holidays sorting out the issues - so I wrote to B&Q customer services to complain about the experience. BUT - instead of just waiting to see what amount they would pay me in compensation for my time etc - I INVOICED them !
I included £100 for my brother-in-law (which I paid him) for additional fitting (he provided a receipt) and I charged out MY OWN TIME as I had used up a days holiday from work. I did have to provide payslips for proof.
So - what did I invoice - over £375.
What did they pay me - a cool cheque for £400 !!!!
Good eh ???

Well done, if we tried that with our local builders merchant, they would be bankrupt in weeks, they make that many mistakes! I seem to spen half my working week chasing them up for stuff...In this trusted place U can erase
Every tear that ever rolled down your weary face
All the time U waste in that paper chase
Is time better spent in these arms of mine0
