Just got a letter from Southern Electric today to tell me that my electric charge is going up from April :eek: but as I'm on PriceFix 2008 I didn't think it applied to me until December when the cap ended.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

  • Worth checking your bills to confirm you are actually on the tarrif you signed up-to - sometimes it doesn't get picked up and you continue on your existing tarrif or standard tarrif.

    :confused: I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.:cool:

    I'm on Price Fix 2008 and got this letter too, complete with a 6 page glossy booklet about the price rise.

    In very very small print about half way through the booklet it states;

    If you are on a fixed tariff you will not be affected by this price increase.

    So why they bothered to send all this guff to people on fixed tariffs I really don't know!

    Cheers nick for your reply, :T I didn't see that in the small print.
    God help me when it gets to December and the price fix ends.
    I'm going to take to salads.
