Halifax Web Saver: 5yr fix at 6.85% per year

Haven't noticed these Halifax Web Saver accounts being mentioned before:

If you don't mind putting your money away for 5 years, the best interest rate is the 6.85% fixed rate for 5 years.

It's not as long as the 10 year fixed-rate "bond" from Birmingham Midshires
- though that is only 6% AER.

I was thinking the same thing, also some people have been taking out 4 year fixed ISAs @6.20% with Halifax.

Myself included, yesterday: you can't poke fun at me this time BLF:rotfl:: I was about to go with NW admittedly, but their rate was 6.15 for two yrs maximum (and yes, the four year Halifax web saver at 6.85 is a decent rate: they call it a web saver, but it's essentially a fixed-rate bond
