Well firstly, do you want it?!

It's not a current model as the 80Gb is the smallest "classic" iPod currently available at £159 from Apple.

To get a feel for prices, search on eBay...

If you have alot of music to listen to then the capacity is pretty good, but you can't play videos on the photo model, and the screen is pretty small even for photos.

You can get a refurb 30gb Ipod Video (the equivalent of a classic) direct from Apple for £99.

I'd have thought 30gb would be sufficient capacity for most people as that is up to 7500 tunes

    A 60GB for £50 is quite cheap.
If I was in your shoes and didn't have a MP3 player already, I'd definitely buy it.
The main downside of iPods is that you need to use iTunes. But then I'd install Rockbox on it to solve this problem.

I think iTunes is very good, and perfect on OS X and our iPods are all fantastic, never had any issue with iTunes or out iPods.

But there are plenty alternatives to iTunes, including MediaMonkey

A Google will bring up many more.

That's if you are happy with 128 kbit/s quality. I'm looking for a new DAP, but 30GB is the minimum storage I'm willing to consider.
