BG nightmare continues

Just over 18 months ago, we moved house. BG took over 6 months and an energywatch complaint to send us our final bill correctly. We paid it and then a couple of months later, got a second final bill, detailing our payments and stating we were owed a refund due to overpayment. We rang them, puzzled. Theya ssured it was correct, and sent us a refund. In the emantime, our new supply was not yet in our name. That took 8 months, two Energywatch compliants, and several, several phone calls to get sorted, and in teh emantime, we kept getting nasty letters and threatening letters for bailiffs and all sorts (hence why we kept ringing, trying to sort out payment which they refused point blank as it was NOT in our name  ). Roll on to getting that finally sorted, after all the complaints, phone calls, threathening letters from them, and even more nasty letters and whatnot over arranging to pay what by now was a HUGE bill. And then getting a NEW final bill for the ld house! The amount differed from the previous, so we rang and asked what was up, as we had paid, then got a new statement, followed by a refund they instigated, etc. They apologised, said we were correct, and recalled it. A few months alter it happeneded again, and we rang again, and the same thing happened. Then in Feb this year, we got yet another letter, from a debt recovery agency, asking for it. fed up by now, I rang BG, and they just said, you have to pay it. I asked about the previous conversations and was told they would look into it. I did not hear back, but in the following week got more letters, so made an Energywatch complaint. I got a call from BG's Custoemr relations at this point and told to just sit tight, not to pay anything yet, and they would recall the debt while they sorted out the problem and got back to me. I waited several days, heard ZIP, but got a letter threatening me with a court summons!

So, I followed up to Energywatch, and again, in three days, got a call from BG Customer Relations, and was told it was being recalled, and they would see what the problem was and get back to me. This they actually did, and I received no further threatening letters. It seems the amount differed as they ahd added nonpayment charges to the old final bill, and they had actually refunded us our payment of that bill, which we had tried to tell them we thought they were doing BEFORE they did it! They have taken the charge off, and admitted it was their error and sent me a letter saying so. I rang them today to let them knw I had received their letter, and wanted to discuss the lack of goodwill I felt, after having over 18 months of nothing but hassle. It was VERY upsetting tog et all those letters, and being passed pillar to post and only getting things looked into by submitting several Energywatch complaints. The Customer Relations rep said they would credit us with £10 as that is about what we spent on calls to them, but honestly, after 18 months of trying to pay them, getting refused, getting refunded, getting letter, after letter, after letter threatening us with bailiffs, bad credit ratings, and such, we don't think is acceptable. We don't want the moon or anything, but I think they do owe us SOMETHING, as quite frankly, moving house was stressful enough without facing threats for 18 months. We also feel that it was beyond a joke that it took an email to Energywatch to get anything done each time to got to the point where they were going to drag us to court! Suggestions?
