Just had a quick look at the updates for the comp and it looks like he doesn't like any of the names that have been entered so far so is thinking about extending the entry date. he just seems to change the rules as he goes along
didnt see any thing about only being able to enter once so guessing you can try as many names as you like
I feel like making up a load of really cr*p ones just to annoy them now:D would serve them right for changing T&C all the time.
Name The Planet update
The competition has taken a new twist as Mel has decided to use the winning name in the title of book two. So far we many thousands of entries and a lot are sadly duplicated. As yet nothing sticks out well enough to not only use in the title, but win you the £10,000 prize. We will keep scanning the entries, but are now considering extending the deadline to give you all a fair chance of being chosen. So, give it a try and remember the chosen name will feature in the title, along with the huge prize and I am sure some words regarding yourself at the front of the book.
he did that with the other comp to win a Mini Car before and we were suspicious about wether he'd changed the answer because he didn't want a comper to win. they will still have a winner for that comp on 19th May as they now have had 100's of correct entries:rolleyes:
I hope this link works ok so you can read news update for yourselves .

Well, I've already done my entry so it doesn't apply to me, but that stinks.
A competition has rules for a purpose not for the company to move the damn goal posts if they're not happy with result in the time-frame! This website should be avoided like the plague! I get the impression that even if someone did 'win' we wouldn't necessarily know about it.
This is making them look sillier by the day and a laughing stock in our community.Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
I would like to be lucky,healthy & happy in 2020! :T0 -

They said the neon park (was it park? can't remember it was so long ago now).answer was incorrect......... when it was the only answer it could've been."Every time you feel yourself getting pulled into someone else's nonsense, tell yourself: Not my circus, not my monkeys." - Mark Borkowski.

i just looked up the book on amazon and thought the reviews were a bit well suspicious.... ??? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Children-23rd-Century-Secret-Planet/dp/184748042X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1211127264&sr=1-1
Funny how they are all worded similarly and very often mention Harry Potter and how it is in the same league or better and the last line mentions something like 'bring on book 2!'.... and they all have 5 *'s. And each person apart from one only has one review....similar sounding names and grammatical structure.
Maybe it is a brilliant book or well.... not gonna say it...... :rolleyes:0 -
Ive read it and it was the most boring book to get through. totaly unrealistic characters. author has no idea how young people talk seeings as it was supose to be aimed at them. My 13 year old son writes far more interesting stories don't know how this guy thinks he can compete with the likes of harry potter etc it's just not gonna happen.
just been to read the reviews
did they really read the same book as me  I only struggled through it to see if i could find clues to the comp . did any of you other MSERs that read it think it was any good ?

I emailed and asked about multiple entries seen as my first one obviously wasn't good enough, and they said multiple entries were fine.0
