Lloyds / Tsb

Wonder if any one has any advice , we clsoed a current account with these last month , but we urgently need a couple of statements for this year so visited our local branch. We were told they could be ordered (which we did) but could take over a week to arrive. We asked if they could not just print off there and then as it is very urgent we recieve , as we need for Thursday 24th April , and they said no.
Now the issue with the post is they kept missing the flat digit off the main address - hence needing copies.

Anyone Know if we can get quicker?

  • Hi, followed your from other post! You can get print off from the branch of the bank statements but they won't look like the normal statements. They list dates, amounts etc on them but just won't look so not so pretty! It depends what you need them for to whether that would be good enough. Feel free to pm me if you want to ask specifically and not post details in here. (I work for LTSB)

Thanks- what the issue is , my g/f brother is studying here and needs his last three months statements. He closed the account as I said - and last week requested statements. They still have not arrived . The statements are to be submitted to the home office as part of his application , and need to be in by Friday. Yes , he is at fault for not realising sooner , but the branch are not very helpful.
Does anyone know if the branch could print on the spot? as he is getting worried.

If he needs them for a home office application - they (as far as I know) need to be official statements - which would need to go through the formal process. I've recently gone through the FLR process and they made clear that photocopies or internet print outs weren't acceptable - I don't see how the in branch print outs would be different from those two classes. Having said that - internet print outs have been accepted at the many other visa applications I've made - but those were all out of country.

I hate to say it - but the forms do make clear what you need and you can find this all out well in advance ...

Thanks - I know I said exactly the same to him , he should have realised earlier. Anyway the bank have now printed off on lettered paper for him , so hopefully this works out.
