I need a 12 month bank statement

I need a 12 month bank statement but when i phoned my bank i was going to be charged £10 which i thought was a bit of a rip off.

Is there any way round this to get a 12 month statement.I bank with Lloyds tsb and don't have internet banking.

Do you need every transaction or just interest/tax payments?

They are allowed to charge a maximum of £10 for all Data Protection Act requests.

Sign up for internet banking, and get what you can from there.

Then pay a visit to your branch and ask them face-to-face for the rest.

Then start to keep your statements when you're sent them. ;)

They need to make sure that it was actually you who signed up - that is why it is sent in the post.

So do you have a previous statement to June 07 (enough to make it a continuous 12 months to Feb 08)? Alternatively, can you ask your bank for a statement from Feb 08 to date (assuming that was the last one actually produced)

    FYI
I have just tried, online, to go back further than 1 year in my LloydsTSB current account, and it does display them.

You can either click Previous Sheet until you get there, or from a dropdown box
    choose options like
Find a Statement Sheet (input year and sheet number)
or Search Statements (can give start date + date range, then you get a list of transactions and an indicator of which sheet number they are on)

Wow - I can see back to middle of 2002

Never used any of this functionality before, never needed it before either though.

So can you see years back from before you started online banking?

I expect so, but I can't say for definite because I think I started on Lloyds internet banking before July 2002.
