Lloyds Airmiles Duo double 1500 miles? ..or did I imagine it?

I signed up for recently announced Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo card that gave you 1500 free miles once you'd spent £10 on one of the cards. This I did and the voucher was added to my airmiles account. I then saw some correspondence with my first bill (I think, and now can't find it) indicating that if I used my american express card (the card I'd not used) then I'd get another 1500 voucher.
I've now made a purchase on the second card, but can't find the info anywhere and the airmiles staff haven't heard of the offer. Did I imagine it?....
Regards

Jules

I have this card; and I have never heard of this offer.

The offer was that you had to spend £10 on your Lloyds TSB Amex card to receive the 1500 airmiles voucher before 30th of june or something like that.

Hi

I've been talking to Airmiles about this issue, and a small percentage of people who applied through the Airmiles site for the 1500 miles offer have experienced problems with them crediting. They've said they're trying to find all the accounts this has happened to and rectify it. If yours doesnt get sorted please let us know.

Here is Airmiles statement in full:

Customers who apply for a Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo Credit Card via airmiles.co.uk are currently being offered a 1,500 Airmiles free flight offer when they spend £10 or more on their Amex card in a single transaction.

The AIRMILES site links to the Lloyds TSB website at the application stage and a very small percentage of customers (less than 1%) have experienced a technical problem with the link between Airmiles and Lloyds TSB . It is this link that enables Lloyds TSB to identify customers who are eligible for the 1,500 Airmiles offer. As a result, Lloyds TSB is currently reviewing Duo card applications to ensure all eligible applicants receive their 1,500 Airmiles .

Thanks Dan, I actually got credited the 1500 miles as result of using the mastercard on this offer, I then got ntification of the 'get 1500 miles when you spend £10 on your amex card' so perhaps I got the wrong end of the stick and thought I'd get 'another' 1500...

• Hi,

I have been chasing airmiles and LloydsTSB for 5 months now trying to get credited with my airmiles and have had no joy. I applied through an email link sent to me by airmiles that took me to one of their sites. I have again tried Lloyds today on the 18/07 and been told to write in and complain and Airmiles have told me to contact LloydsTSB due to the data protection act.

I'm at my wits end at the moment as this is the 3rd time I've been around this circle, I was told 6 weeks ago by Lloyds that the airmiles had been credited and would appear in a months time. However now Lloyds say they will take another 10 days to investigate my account again (FOR THE 3RD TIME!!!)

If you know anything I can do or anyone I can contact, it would be much appreciated otherwise I would avoid LloydsTSB like the plague in future.

i don't think you have got the wrong end of the stick.

i already have the 1500 airmiles for spending the original £10.

i have had this come through in the post:

All you need to do to qualify for your free flight is spend £200 on your airmiles duo credit card before 15 August 2008. we will then credit your airmiles account with 750 miles.

so it may be possible that you got a second offer as well.

the offer is from airmiles and not lloyds tsb. if you have any issues with this then airmiles are the ones to get in touch with. ltsb can only confirm yes/no you have spend x amount on x card. its then up to airmiles to credit you with the miles and send you your voucher. (work for ltsb) had a handful of customers with the same issue, sorry not much more can help with on this one

How the heck are you supposed to prove how you submitted your application? I have not received the bonus of 1500 and Airmiles are claiming I applied directly through Lloyds which I'm sure I did not (several months ago now!) and therefore do not qualify.

Lloyds are claiming it is nothing to do with them (er don't think so!) and also claiming there are no offers in existence offering both the 1500 and 1 per £10 (they say either/or) but here it is: airmiles.co.uk/collect/lloydstsb/lloydstsb-airmiles-duo

Frankly, I think they're both a bunch of con artists.

I got my Lloyds TSB duo 2 weeks ago as result of opening of my new Current ac. I am aware that we should apply our Credit Card via airmailes.co.uk. Do you think I could still get 1500miles if I spend £10 on my AMEXCard.

Here is what they say:
1. Apply and be accepted for the Credit Cards by 30 September 2010

(Remember this offer's only available when you apply online at airmiles.co.uk)
2. Spend £10 on the Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo American Express® Card by 30 November 2010
3. We'll add a 1,500 mile voucher to your Airmiles account
4. To use your voucher, book a night in an Airmiles hotel when you book your free flights

• I am another who hasn't received the 1500 airmiles. I am sure that I applied via MSE and the offer is still on. Airmiles say that I didn't apply through their website but the link clearly goes from MSE to the Airmiles website then a further link to Lloyds to apply. Apparently if you apply on the LLoyds site you won't get the rewards but how else can you do it?
I needed a couple more credit cards like a hole in the head!

Dear All

To continue, my previous post. I have now had over £10.00 Spending on my Lloyds Airmiles Duo AMEX card.
You know it is difficult to find shop which accept AMEX, but I manage to buy various items from eBay and pay using PayPal. PayPal has now accepted AMEX as a mean of Payment.

Given my case above
-Will I get 1500 Airmiles ?
- How do I chechk it that I will get it.

Thank you for your time
