I think most prices rises for gas and electricity were for 10 -15% the last time each company changed them.

lists the price changes from about August 2005 (Note - they are AVERAGE changes as each region has slightly different prices)
Do you not have last years bills to compare the unit rates you were paying last year Vs this year?
