Calling all Clio Owners

I hope someone can help me.
I recently bought a second hand 1996 renault Clio,
The fan heater was only working on Max but has now packed up,
I have managed to get hold of a replacement switch unit from a scrap clio, have fitted the unit and the heater still doesn't work.
ok 1 of 2 things is wrong,
1. the replacement switch was faulty as well
2. another fault.
Is there any moneysavers out there with a clio haynes manual that could tell me what the connections are on the switch itself, have tried to work them out but failing quickly.
Any help much appreciated

Don't know anything about Clios but it's likely that the heater blower resistor pack has failed. The switch is probably o.k.
Depending on the switch position there will be less or more resistance to the supply to produce faster or slower speeds respectively.
You do need someone with knowledge of the Clio to advise where it's fitted. Somewhere in or near the blower would be my guess.
I could be totally wrong though, it might be incorporated in the switch?!!0 -
