Pop the key cap off and check for any thing that should not be there.
Use a very small screwdriver and look for a reason it sticks.

Dodgy.. never remove a keyboard cap - it'll constantly pop off afterwards because it'll have weakened the clips.

Generally speaking, lappy keyboards are easy to remove in entirety - just a couple of screws underneath. The only thing I'd recommend to wash it with would be isopropanol, available from chemists (very very flammable though). This evaporates without any residues.

Failing that, either get a new one on warranty or get a quote for a replacement on it's own - they are easy to fit really.

You may have to ask for the isopropyl. It is not always on display. It is excellent for cleaning CD's and screens also.
