Uhm it sure does matter when you are being paid on a Monday, and Lloyds takes money out for bills which are ALSO to be paid Monday and then makes you overdrawn for Sunday afternoon.

For example: I have £300 in the bank.
Monday I am getting paid £1000.
I have outgoing payments for Monday for say, £675.

However, Sunday afternoon, they clear all my outgoing payments for Monday, before they clear my INCOMING payments, Sunday night around midnight.

I am left with £0 available all afternoon Sunday. No milk for the kids, no petrol, no stuff for Sunday dinner - all because they take payments out before crediting payments in.

It has happened to me, just like this.

Got off work to find I had nary a penny in the bank Sunday afternoon.

Llyods do allow you to bring the balance above zero or any overdraft before cut off on the Monday without causing any penalty.

That even includes paying cash in over the counter.
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!
