would churchill car insurance be the same as tesco? (same group)

I see that Tesco is with same group as Churchill and I think Direct line etc. Seems theres quite a bit of negative feedback about Tesco apart from mostly reasonable quotes. It says they are really uk insurance ltd which is part of the group Royal Bank of Scotland. So if my daughter chose Churchill instead of would she end up getting exactly the same as she would have if shed have chosen Tesco?
Thanx

    not necessarily....

Admiral is the parent company of Elephant, but Admiral undercut elephant's renewal quote by £70 to get my business.... and i think it's bit better too!!

Yes the quotes are very similar, Churchill slightly higher but its the service I'm bothered about in the event of any accident (hopefully none) As it seems Tesco really mess up with lots of things when accidents happen. I just wondered if they are same group they use he same solicitors and everything else

oh, sorry.... don't know about any of that stuff
  • .... and Lloyds TSB use Churchill to underwrite their insurance offerings and were £15 cheaper than the identical quote from Churchill. Then apply the extra discount from greasypalm (with has now been increased from £60 to £70) and you get quite a saving.

Not a member of greasy palm but do you get the £60 back straight away or is it less straight forward?

Tesco is indeed the same company as Churchill, it is also the same company as, Directline, RBS, UKi, Lloyds TSB, Vauxhall, Citroen, Egg, AMEX, NIG, Prudential and even Help The Aged and a whole lot more.

They are under written by " The Royal Bank Of Scotland".

    Just to clear matters up.
