I still think this is linked to the tesco change to stop us using each others cards/points eg buy points off ebaya nd use them ourselves. What happens if we keep using our old cards anyone know? Ta

Call me a cynic, but I am quite wary of why Tesco have done this and allocated new numbers. I won't be recycling my old card yet.

In particular, anyone who has a really old clubcard with the higher rate Airmiles redemption rate attached to it should keep their old card until you are sure this rate is unaffected, IMHO. This doesn't include me, I just recall some peeps have mentioned they get the higher rate because they got their card many years ago.

I wouldn't put it past Tesco to include t&c changes by stealth on these new cards, and if we all rush to recycle the old ones we could lose out in some way. I wonder if the new ones will even generate till spits?

Both me and mum got new sets of card and different numbers. I am really worried about using the new card, I have over 3350 points, I am not losing them!! Think I will wait it out and keep using the old card, at least until my vouchers come through.

Coupon mad! Firstly, I was down to my last key fob and was going to get a temporary card and transfer over. Then I saw the big sign in store saying new clubcards coming soon, so i just used DH's card until the new one came.
I DID wonder, as did the OP if the new ones would prevent us using extra points coupons assigned to other clubcards, maybe because so many of us do it. I often do swaps for extra points as I use all mine for deals.
Anyhow I went in store yesterday and used my new one, and I was given a till spit for 400 pts when you spend £20 on kids clothes!!!:T haven't had one in ages, so they DO issue till spits. I am wondering if it will still work on anything like the previous ones tho.

As for the other, we shall have to wait and see. I am hoping for some healthy living club coupons for my DH soon so i shall try them using my card. If I see any knocking round the car park I'll try them too!

That said, I've been a clubcard holder for many years and they have periodically replaced clubcards so it isn't actually anything new.
