Mouse problem

Hi

For the last two days every time I click once with my left mouse button it acts like a double click. I can't even select a folder without it opening it. When I open IE, it opens two at the same time.

This doesn't always happen but happens more often than not. Don't know why.

I went into mouse settings but couldn't see what to adjust (or what I should be looking for), so if anyone can help me out I'd be ever so grateful, thank you :)

Try smashing the mouse against the desk. Even if it doesn't cure it, you'll feel a lot better.

If you go into mouse settings try slowing the double click speed of the mouse.
That helped when I was clicking the test area on the mouse settings but I tried IE after slowing right down and it still opened two :(

It's an optical mouse... I just swapped it with a different (also usb) mouse and the other one works fine... so it's got to be a faulty mouse hasn't it, if the other worked? :o

Get a new mouse, they are so cheap it aint worth the hassle. Mine packed up recently and I got a Logitech V450, thoroughly recommended.
  • OK I shall start looking for a new mouse then and will look into the V450 as you mention there. Thank you:)
