in Credit cards
I saw an advert on a popular website that said some major credit cards could be completely void and any current balance and any charges paid could be voided if the credit card was taken out before a certain time (I cant remember the exact date). I put my contact information into the page and I have recieved a call from a firm of solicitors who say my card can be voided completley. I have to pay £495 up front and 30% of the balance that they clear at the end. Obviously I did not agree to this, but what I would like to know, is: a. Is this info true? b. Can I do it myself for free?
thanks

At the bottom left, under the name, post count etc there is a light that's green if the person is online and beside that the Roadsign is for reporting spam - via email.
One of the mods should be able to check the IP address of the posters though and see if they are coming from the same place.
If this isn't spam - then the topic is well and truly covered in Jimbo's linked thread. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
