What is fascinating me here is what it is that the seller's solicitors are not doing...
Presumably OP's solicitors have asked them for something and they are not replying.

As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
As it stands at the moment, our solicitors eventually got the information they require. But it did take more than 2 weeks. So much for everything having to happen quickly.0

To be fair to them it can take time to get the contract paperwork together as it isn't usually sitting on their desk ready to send out. However these people should keep folks in the picture.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0
