I tried a similar thing my middle daughter is so clumsy I bet not many people know that Nintendo DS games survive machine washing and drying - but they do I discovered!
Anyway in an attempt to get her to claim some responsibility for looking after her things I told her that i would have to sell her games to replace something - ten minutes later she turns up with a pile of games and a big smile on her face!
That I think is the more the fact she is a completely smart a***!0
