Venetian Blinds for Conservatory

As much as I would love to get a company in to put blinds up in our conservatory - lack of money prevents me from doing so!
Which is why I have come up with an idea of ordering made to measure blinds and attaching them to the PVC facias above the windows.
I am just wondering if anyone else has done the same thing or whether it is to be advised against due to the weight of the blinds or anything else unforseen.
