Overdrafts

Hi, I hope someone can help me please, I have debt in the form of an overdraft with HSBC and debt on 2 credit cards. I am wanting to put all 3 of these together on a 0% interest credit card. Is this possible? I never see anywhere saying you can transfer debt from your overdraft so am unsure if this is possible.

Thank you to anyone who can help.

the MBNA range of CC and eggmoney allow BT from overdrafts

whether it make financial sense depends upon the BT fee and the relevant APRs etc.

You need a card with the SBT (Super Balance Transfer) facility.

Only a handful of special cards have this facility including Egg, Egg Money, any card from the MBNA stable (including the Virgin range of cards) and the Post Office issued card.

In addition MINT periodically issue Credit Card cheques that can be paid into a current account at Balance Transfer rates. However, this is the least satisfactory option because the cheques cannot be requested and you never know when they are going to drop through the letterbox.

RBS keep sending me BT cheques too. Same as Nick says though, you can't request them and don't know if / when you'll get any.

Makes sense - MINT is an RBS run credit card.
