When will it be safe to neg sellers?

I have a couple of items I want to neg sellers over. Both would probably revenge feedback me judging from their feedback history.

I see little point in leaving feedback for them now.

Is it going to be safe for me to neg them from May 1st?

Or is there some other date I need to be aware of?

The date hasn't been confirmed yet.
    Sometime in May we understand.
I started off with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I pay for item then i should +ve feedback as there is nothing id of done wrong

You can never 'safely' neg those sellers as the new rules will not be backdated.

The new rules come in for all transactions after 15th May (I think it is 15th, I read it on another thread which I can't find now).

Why are you being a feedback pu5sy? Do not be afraid to speak the truth - your feedback being left now could prevent another buyer from making a mistake because you are dithering around about stating facts.

This is the whole reason why the feedback is system is worthless - buyers are too concerned about protecting an irrelevant number and would selfishly decide to say nothing and let other people find out for themselves that a seller may be sub-standard.

Grow a backbone and just leave the neg. Getting one back is not the end of the world. Besides, from what I understand, the new rules will only apply to transactions made after the date - May 15th is being widely mooted.

Both sellers have several thousand feedback. I don't see any point in severely damaging my own (under a hundred) for the sake of a token neg. Exactly how good sellers are will quickly become apparent after May 15th in any case.

It can actually be quite a pain if you have low feedback to get one, let alone, two negative feedback.

Well then from that point the feedback system will work a bit better. It's not long to wait really. I see no reason to be a crusader.

We're talking about negs on buying accounts - how do they affect anything? As long as you pay, then eBay will not take any action, and as long as you have more than 10 feedback, then there is no possible way that your bids can be automatically blocked by a seller, which again highlights why buyer feedback is pretty much worthless in the scheme of things, and will be worth even less from next month.

Buying accounts are disposable, and should be kept separate to selling accounts for this exact reason.

I sell very very rarely and don't have the time or inclination to maintain two accounts.

Buyers will only receive positive feedback. But how that will "improve" the feedback system is anybodies guess!!! All buyers will appear the same, whether they are genuine or out to scam - nobody will know, and it's likely that all buyers will be treated with a degree of of skepticism.

It was announced back in January and is covered in detail on this thread - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=711731
