Car Insurance for a month

We have a nissan micra and the insurance is just ending in a week's time. We are putting this car on the market so we just wanted insurance for another month. Is it possible to do this. My current insurers would only do a year's insurance and a cancellation fee of about £40.
I need to buy a bigger family car so if i try and get a best deal on my micra it may not be the best for the car we will buy. I just need cover for a about month

yes you can just search day insurance in google and you will get loads of companys who do short term insurance0
