Stop condensation under pots?

Does anyone know please if I can paint the bottoms of my terracotta pot saucers so they don't draw moisture - they are standing on terracotta tiles indoors and mouldy wet patches form - many thanks.

Have you tried raising the saucers up slightly on pot feet or small bits of tile...you need to get air under the saucers to stop the mould.

The moisture may be coming up from underneath the terracotta tiles themselves...if this is the case, painting the saucers will not solve the problem!

Lidle are doing some v nice iron potstands next week - not sure about the casters they come with but they would solve my problem I think - thanks Ephemera for your response.

You're welcome - hopefully they will have brakes on them to stop them running about the floor!
Failing that, I think Betterware do castor cups that might do the trick - ones with felt bottoms will stop marks on the floor and make them secure too.
