The judge's concluding comments are in this article from the BBC.

This is interesting news. I was going to request my statements before the judgement so my request didn't get lost in the mire but it looks like I've left it too late.

Then again, if the courts rule in our favour will we still have to go through the same process or will it be simplified?
  • Its about time that we got something done.

the banks are getting everything they want at the minute and have done for a very long time, lets just hope we get what so many other have had over all this time ... OUR MONEY BACK!

But even if the court finds in favour of us poor mugs, surely the banks can (and no doubt will) contest the decision at a higher court and drag the whole thing out longer?

In the link in mystic-trev post is right then any court judgement in favour of the customer will be challenged at each level, this means then the case may not be over with for some years,in meantime banks will continue to charge what they see as fair fro their services.

it won't end here - this is just whether the OFT can investigate the charges.
