yes you can use your mailing xtra points vouchers with the skin care voucher , i used my 500 points with any time delay purchase with the voucher.( bought wipes £4.00, ....free with the skin care voucher and gave SA the voucher and it worked). Beforehand he did say that it may not work and another SA at local boots wouldn't even attempt it & i didn't push it either.£900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x0

If you have a look on the Boots website, you can change the details held against your advantage card and opting in to receive mailings might be there.
If not, there is a helpline number given on the website - try 0845 124 4545 (probably in the week only).
Last option - most of the in-store machines ask if you want to update your details, so you may be able to do it there.
One word of warning - Boots seem to be having some problems with their machines over the last couple of weeks. My card nearly got stuck in one last Saturday - it took over 5 minutes of repeated tries for the machine to eject it.
And I went into a large Boots store in the Midlands yesterday - all their machines were out of order. An assistant told me they had been like that for a few days - cards were not being ejected from them and they were waiting for an engineer to visit.
I wonder if the advantage machines are getting past their sell by date or not being maintained? I'm saving up for a Xmas treat and can't afford to lose my valuable card just now.0 -
ooh my boots september/october mailshot came the other day but my reading eyesight is so poor i cannot see it and if i give it to mum she just throws out ones SHE doesn't think i will use, even though if there is a promtoional points offer i MIGHT use it - in the last mailing there was something on Palmolive deodorant, now that week I was going to buy a new roll-on anyway but Mum went oh no i don't thik that's any good in the bucket it's going SIGH. i couldn't see a double points ocupon jsut eight coupons with barcodes to the back of the letter with name on.
wouldn't dare hand over more than one ocupon at a time and certainly not combine with promotional vouchers @ Eastgate Centre, Inverness as they are extremely rigid to sticking to the one coupon per transaction rule. Retail Park is usually more lenient in my opinion but costs approximately £8 in taxis to get there and back safely - if I've got the Minute Maid coupon that will be the third mailing in a row they've included a coupon for something i HAVE to go to the Retail Park though as most food and drink items were turfed out of Eastgate Centre some time last year sob sob.
The Advantage Points are not past their sellby date but need to be made smaller for easier access for wheelchair users and to be put into smaller stores and be made easier and clearer to see for the likes of me who have extremely poor eyesight. I've contacted Customer Services by email twice lately about the stupid machine and how it is making me feel like i am disadvantaged from the scheme etc. but no joy, all they can do is pass my comments onto teams at meetings but who knows when these meetings will be, in the year 2020 maybe LOL.my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -

maybe if everyone reading this emails them about how difficult it is for our friend to use the machines they will listen. worth a try, they can't ignore us all!Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0 -
The points machine at my local Boots has been out of order for months and my card got stuck in the one at Liverpool Street station in London - had to wait ten minutes for someone to unlock it and give me back my card, and they didn't put an out of order sign on it.
When I do find a machine that works I don't get any offers apart from Boots Soltan lotion - I feel left out of the loop!!! I have e-mailed and asked why but can't get anything other than a standard reply of we tailor our offers to our customers spending pattern, hmm perhaps there's a message there....0 -
on the rare occassion i can get a sales assistant to help me use the stupid advantage point it ocmes up with useless offers like ones for pantene or spot removng stuff, the only coupon that is useful seems to be the total spend but for osme reason they never give me one for uner £20 which is hard to do all the time except when it's triple points and then of course they remove the total spend coupon when that's on! doh!
dives me up the wall that i cannot use the machne as i would like to do all these offers people on here and on bob's do but it's not to be as it;s impossilbe to get a member of staff to help - especially on a Wednesday because unless I wait for a later bus I walk straight bang into the Boots Lunchtime Rush when half the sa's aren't on and there's a mile long queue so definitely no help with the machine then.my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -
I just earned about £20 in points on an internet purchase, but now I find I'm going to have to make a round trip of about 60 miles to the nearest store with a machine so I can get them credited. Weren't they previously credited at the tills? There are at least three stores closer to me, but none of them have the machines.0
