Finally after several years I have got a mailing from Boots, sadly not as exciting as I thought it would be.

I have a two use double points coupon valid until the end of October, not a lot of use because i am spending in £5 lots until the skincare offer finishes and then probally nothing until the next offer starts.

100 points on thermacare - no idea what it is?

triple points on minite maid froot refresh juice drinks - not stocked by our small store.

300 points on a Barbie teddy fragrance gift set - £10 on website, wont be used.

£5 off safe and white whitening gel - seems to be £8.50 on boots.com, wont be used.

50 points on diabetic chocolate - why, no diabetics in our house

100 points if I spend £5 on Boots exclusive haircare/bodycare brands, includes the med range, the only one I use but probally cant be used against reduced stuff.

100 points on skin kindly body wash - cant see it on boots.com, anyone know how much this is?

200 points on a £15 spend of Boots skincare/cosmetics 17, No 7, time delay and Botanics. This is the only one I can use if I combine it with a 3 4 2 or the Botanics points voucher form the machine. I expect that using a £5 skincare voucher wont count though. And I dont suppose I can use my double points voucher for this either.

So maybe two of the 8 vouchers I can use. Has anyone else had a similarly disappointing selection?

If anyone else uses these points coupons with their card will they scan? If so I could pass them along/do a swap.

Or do I just send them back to Boots with a sad note to say how I cant use most of the points coupons

The Skin Kindly body wash is £2.39 for 200ml, as shown on page 20 in the booklet.

i'd probably use the
1000points voucher,
the 100 points on bodycare,
100points on Skin Kindly Body Wash
and the triple points on the 89p juice

I'm already thinking of my Christmas presents, and somehow, I always buy fragrances, so am going to try and shop early to use my triple points voucher.
The only think of trying to buy fragrances, the boxsets, aren't out till October.

and i'm not sure what the Theramcare products is/are

telling them they are useless won't get u anywhere - i emailed to say the vouchers i got from parenting club were useless cos the boots i can get to (heavily pregnant, struggling to walk & have 3 year old in tow) don't stock half of the products & you can't use them online. the reply was basically they can order them 4 u - how can they if i don't know what the items in the ranges are & the staff had never even heard of the mediterranean pregnancy range in the first place. another email got a reply with a list of numbers & rubbish abbreviated descriptions which still wasn't clear what the items are. people on this site were much more helpful!!!

sarahcc: I get mailings as I have an Advantage card and have opted to receive them

I don't use many coupons I am sent because:

1. The products aren't sold in the stores I go to
2. I don't want them anyway
3. The in-store special offers are better and you can't use the coupons together (I have tried)

I also can't work out why the points machines offer coupons (for use that day only) on items that aren't sold in that particular store. This has happened to me 3 times in the last couple of weeks - on an item that I would have bought if I could have.

Ooh, I seem to be lucky: my 200 points for No7/Botanics/17/Time Delay is for a £7 spend, not £15!

Are we sure these vouchers can't be used with the skincare voucher?

I haven't received a mailing from Boots (I've asked to go on the mailing list a zillion times without success) but using the points voucher with the £5 skincare voucher shouldn't be a problem.

I have been into Boots several times and bought a No7 cleanser or toner for £7 and handed over my £5 skincare voucher plus the 200 Advantage points when you buy any No7 skincare/makeup coupon that was in the last magazine. I get the £5 off and I get the 200 points.

In fact if you combine it with buying the Intuition shaver that has a £3 off coupon on it you will bump your spend up to £5.14 and thus get another £5 skincare coupon. And so the cycle begins again...............

it seems to vary depending on the store & the CS that serves you whether you can combine offers or not! i just hand them over & see what they do! if u get a CS that scans them all remember their face for next time! better when busy as they don't have time to read T&Cs that say 1 offer at a time - system usually accepts them.

My mailing contains 8 vouchers + double points voucher.
Diabetic choc 50 points, Haircare and body 50 points, body wash 100 points, barbie fragrance 300 points, Thermacare 100 points, Whitening save £5, Minute maid triple points and The best one 1000 points for £20 spend on No 7, Time Delay or Botanics skincare or cosmetics.
