where do i stand on this.. ive got van insurance with auto net and i missed a direct debit payment on the 7th.. i had a letter saying i have till the 27th of this month to make the payment or my insurance could be at risk... ive had a letter on the eighteenth saying my insurance is cancelled as of seven days from the letter? can they do this?? i thought i had till the 27th to pay it??

They will be allowed to do this.
Just as you are entitled to cancel your insurance at any time, so is the insurance company also entitled not to have you as a customer.
It will be set out in your policy.0 -
How exactly are they scammers?
You missed your payment so they terminated it after 2 weeks of non payment0 -
They have followed RTA procedure in that they have given you seven days warning of the cancellation so yes they can do this - its not their fault you didnt pay.0
