Can anyone help!

I wonder if anyone can give me some advise. I currently have an overdraft of 2,400 with my bank that I have had for many years, which is up to its max. The bank have written to say they will reduce this to £1,800 at the beginning of June. The problem is I am just reaturning to work after a long period of un paid sickness and cannot afford to pay back the £600 just yet.

The bank does technically owe me a few thousand from bank charges, which I have yet to claim.

I just wondered, can I write and say I am witholding re-payment of the £600 in leu of the bank charges?????

Can the bank black list me or effect my credit rating??

Has anyone else done this?
