Capital One CC Query

Hi first time poster on this forum but I regularly read the all of the forums. I have a Cap 1 credit card at the rate of 30.340 %. ive had this credit card for 3 and a half years and this is my only credit card i was curious to find out do Cap 1 have a loyalty number i can ring up to ask if they will reduce apr seeing as my account has been looked after by me and never had charges or defaults.

    You can secure message them on your account page or write/call them and see what transpires.

    Capital One however, do not negotiate and I think the only way to improve the card and rate is to close account and then apply for one of their better cards.

    It might be a good idea to try applying for a better new card aswell since you have been with Cap1 for over 3 years now and you may get a nice surprise.

    surely you're not actually borrowing on this card and paying this APR?

    I was using it a lot and allways had a small balance sub 300 but its only recently ive been made aware of apr [by visitng here]. my balance is still under 300. My APR was 19.9% a while ago mind. its only went up a short while ago. my limit on the card is 2.5k but never been tempted to go there!!

    btw how much interest does £300 attract at that Apr per month then??

    Well the 30.34% is an annualised figure, so interest is 300 * 0.3034 = £91.02 per year.

    You can estimate the monthly interest by dividing by 12, therefore 91.02 / 12 = £7.59 per month

    have a look at your last few statements...they should show the interest charged.

    Does any kind user have C1 customer retentions number if not secure message is next best thing except the wait for reply.
