Nothing much to add of much use El but just wanted to say feeling for you in all this - must be very frustrating on all different fronts at the moment. Hang in there - you'll come through it.

thanks miz thanks hypno ...and isnt it great arsed does ...will need to try and remember that one lol ....

right the financial state of play for the elantan household ...

there is no point in doing an soa wont get me anywhere and i know what i need to cut down/back etc and what i wont give up so ....

    current debts

£400 in overdraft for alliance and leicester
    £250 in overdraft for rbs
    £250 in amex for visa
£670 in egg for old overdraft

now dont have a clue on what interest rates are for the above and not really interested in finding out (i know not very mse but i dont plan on having the debts that long)

my wages for this month are £805 and i currently have £250 in the bank
my ddms that will come out between my wage and hubby's for this month are £750 leaving me with £305 so out of that £305 this month i plan on paying £150 to the amex and leaving me with £155 i plan on taking £70 out on friday and that will do me till the next friday and then another £70 the following friday leaving me £15 for emergencies any quidco money i have coming this month (about £15) will go to one of the overdrafts ..

the egg money is interest free and i am paying £175 off a month so no worries there ...the amex i will pay off this month and next month therefore not gaining any interest charges the only interest charges will be with the overdrafts and they will be very little

the other spends i have coming up are

25th wedding anniversary approx £30 on a present and £30 on the night (party)
£50 for every A my son get's and £25 for every B he gets (i had planned on £100 but we just cant afford that if he doesnt like it tough)
    £60 for a new tyre
    £125 (approx) t.v license
    £35 tax disc
£500 (approx) for the garden for this year

the garden will not be done till we have the money it will just have to lie in the state that it is in till we do have the money and if that means next year then so be it

we will be cutting back on the food drink diesel etc so things are gonna be tight on the good ship elantan but isnt that what's gonna make it all the more worth while ...

when i get my wages from job no2 i am putting them directly into my i.s.a so that i dont touch them i really want to be able to leave job no2 by the end of the year at the latest and preferably before ...however i did tell hubby this can be up for negotiation if he feels he is fed up of being skint all the time but if this is how he feels he will have to accept that a) i will not be happy and b) it will affect my health and c) i really wont be happy lol ....

I don't think El has been married 25 years.....I am sure she got married the same year as me.

I think it is a good plan, El. Gives you "space" to look at what you NEED to get in.

Now, get matched betting, and listing stuff on amazon/ebay!!!!

miz sorry i didnt put that right ...hypno is right we got married the same year the 25th is for someone in hubby's work they are having a party so i'm thinking the £30 for the present and £30 for the night for drink for hubby etc ...

z you are so right maybe i should bring that bit up i jut kinda threw it in to make him feel less stressed i think as he really does worry about money even though i showed him what we have in savings it still didnt seem to calm him down any lol ...

hypno the old ebay debate remember this one ....i still point blank refuse to do it ...it's hubbys job i feel i do plenty i am also doing eager learners daily clicks so i really do feel i do more than enough to be honest ...mbing however is deff something i will need to get back into problem is the account i use is one of the over drafts so as soon as i can get that down and some money in i will deff be back on the mbing front ...however if any coral games etc come up i can do them as the money isnt out of the account for long and it is usually just £10 or so but the big £100 ones (will hills etc) i cant do not just now ...but i will get back round to them ...

bob have to admit i have been noticing since nephew and son moved out the place isnt just as bad ..what it really needs is a good scrub and de-clutter then i can keep on top of it ...have started moving stuff out of the cupboard under the stairs that i plan on putting in the boys's cupboards only thing is they still havnt taken their stuff ....son is moving to a new house by mid july at the latest(hopefully) and nephew i think is hedging his bets incase he doesnt like where he is but by the time son has his stuff out i will be informing nephew he has to move his stuff ...have given nephews bed away so he cant come back anyway lol ...
hubby did mention getting another bed in but i said no way to that one i dont want to encourage anyone to stay (have some friends that would forget to go home but remember to drink and eat me out of house and home) so if they really want to stay they have to stay down stairs...i have plans for that room anyway i plan on making it a meditation relaxation craft type room ....i loved the hill walking i always do so much so that i think i am going to join a local hillwalking group ...hubby helps out a friend of his every other week (his friend just bought a grass cutting business) (ok hubby wont be able to just now due to back) so with me giving up the weekend work with job no2 i will have every other weekend to myself ...now i could do housework but that just wouldnt be me...and there is a couple of hillwalking groups that go out at the weekends ..i will need to check that the weekends co-incide with hubby helping out friend but if they do then that is what my plan is ...if i am to walk the west highland way next year then i need to get fit and this would be a great way of doing thatand on top of that it will stop other people claiming my time ...i fell alot of people claim my time and i never get to claim any so if this works out then it will be a chance for me to do something i enjoy ...

wow i have fairly talked tonight ...i just feel (and have done since the weekend) that i have been stuck in a rut for long enough and i need to take control
