Aww, now you're just teasing:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

i'm starting to think i may have done some permanant damage to my knee ..it's still increadibly sore i cant put any weight on it at all and when i touch certain bits it feels like other bits are lifting up ...it might just be swelling or bruising though...but it really is very painful ...does anyone have any idea how long these things usually hurt?0

Well amongst some of my many ailments in the past, i had to have my right kneecap straightened. It was a recurring injury, which was mis treated in the first instance..long story.
The upshot is that if it is swollen the best thing is rest, cold and hot compresses and a compress/support stocking. Sometimes they recommend crutches for a few days to keep weight off it.strong anti inflammatory tabs help.
Have you had a doc look at it?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Ouch El, I've just been reading back - your poor knee - I would go to the doctors and get it looked at if I were you."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

I know exactly what you mean. If i were you, tomorrow i would go off to casualty and get them to take a look at it.
Tonight in bed, put a pillow under your knee if you can manage it as it will ease the pressure, sometimes if you hold yourself striaght in bed your knee will lock up a bit. This way it will relax the muscle. Do you have any strong pain killers? they will help the muscle relax and you can take a paracetamol based one combined with ibuprofen.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

will try that tonight i think bob... am a bit scared to go to a&e just incase i get a cast or something and i dont want one of them with an interview coming up maybe go on friday afternoon ...but will deff add the pillow to my knee have taken pain killers and ibuprofen (stomach starting to get sore with them) so far but no help there0

Well they very rarely will out a cast on a mobile joint like a kneecap. I know because the first time i did it, i had broken my kneecap and had a floating piece of knee bone.
They only put a cast on me when i had the last operation in order to immobilize it completely whilst the muscle sorted itself out.
You need to get it checked on!!!!!!
Mostly rest does it, but you have to be careful of muscle tension and such.
Ibuprofen never was kind to my stomach either. I used to go for strongest codeine diravative, i could get my mitts on. Very good at making you relax.
Regarding interview, if you wore your trousers with a support bandage under it may help.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Heehee, codeine is fab! It makes you go :rotfl:
Of course, I would never condone that sort of thing..."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
