British Gas Customer no service!

This company have to have one of the worst customer service departments I have ever come across. Are they all robotic people who are just programmed to say cant help have to pass it to customer relations!!!

Monday last week I had a leak in my airing cupboard from a hot water pipe. Spotted from the ceiling below!

I have a service agreement so called BG. An engineer came out that night, I felt really pleased, all those bad things I read could not be true.

This Cowboy came to fix one leak, left me with two more and fitted my hot water pump back upside down so forcing water back to the boiler causing to overheat and trip out.

Just turn the thermostat down love, it will be alright!!! No it is not alright he then left.

Worked out myself what he had done wrong after googling what was happening. Called BG again said muppet has fitted pump incorrectly. We cant sent anyone till Wednesday. So no hot water or heating for 2 days.

Another BG man came and fixed the leaks and the pump, he said the chap before must have been a right numpty to do this wrong.

Have now received 2 bills each for £50 calls outs as I am on the BG flixicover £10 a month £50 each problem. How dare they try and charge me to fix their own complete incompetence!

Anyway I have been promised call back since last Wednesday with no avail, these people in 'Customer Relations' don't take calls just make them. Well they are not making them because I am still waiting.

Rant over :o

I used to have BG Homecare, and one day discovered the hall rad was cold. Engineer number 1 diagnosed furred pipes and a cost of £700, unhappy we asked for another opinion. Engineer number 2 also diagnosed furred pipes and quoted £450, he also replaced our rather expensive pump with a cheapo one. hmmmm

Cue engineer 3 who after we pestered agreed to take a water sample from the pipes. Unbeknowns to them we took our own sample.

1 week later our result came back, no problems. We drained down our system ourselves, fixed the airlock that was causing the problem and waited for BG....

8 weeks later, we started to chase BG and were amazed to discover the results go to the engineers home, where his wife had opened them and binned them

With that we cancelled, but not before we claimed the cost of replacing our pump to one of an equivalent standard, and for the treatments we had to put in the water ourselves.
