    From the initial part of the number you should be able to trace the mobile phone company; but unless you can prove a serious criminal offence, I think that is as far as you will get.

    All mobile phone calls are recorded, very useful for the "Old Bill" to have most of the population on CCTV & voice mail. Shame they cannot seem able to use it to stamp out lower level crime.

    I too received a text from this 'company' - I've not got any debt problems so assumed I'd somehow got myself subscribed to the citizens advice service.

    Those with debt and financial problems can do without this type of nonsense.

    Lets hope those behind this 'enterprise' can be named and shamed for what they really are.

    I had yet another 'Public Service' call, yesterday - offering 'a little known Government solution to debts' whereby you 'pay only what you can afford'. Obviously an 'IVA factory'. :mad: :mad:
    The message invited me to press '5' for a two minute 'interview' to see if I qualified - needless to say, I resisted the offer. :rolleyes:
    This time I did a 1471 and got the following number - 001410 7748146.
    I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
    If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

    scum bags is all I can say. Unfortunately there will be many people (who don't come onto such wonderful boards as DFW) that reply to these texts and end up in more of a mess!

    Hi all,

    Just to let you know they are still at it.

    Text messages saying "Drowning in debt? A government solution could write off 70% of your debts. Text back HELP to this number and an adviser will call you back now"

    Guess what? This was actually sent to Amy one of our debt caseworkers.

    Talk about random contacts

    She has responded by text message and we are awaiting their call.
