Cheap Aldi digital camera

On 24th April
Aldi are offering a

5MP Digital Camera Traveler DC55

£49.99 reduced to
each £39.99
I've been looking for a cheap camera to carry in the glove locker of my car for emergencies but I want one with a Li-ion battery so that I don't have to recharge it too often.
Does anyone know what sort of battery this one uses? I suspect it's AAs as it says it comes with two batteries but there is a DC55 Slim on google that seems to use Li-ion. But I can't tell if it is the same model.

I got a cheap Aldi camera that came with 2 li-on batteries. The cameras are fine as a point and shoot and will be fine for what you want it for.

The batteries last for a long time and as you get 2 you can always have one ready. With ours we also got a car charger for the batteries that plugged into the cig lighter.

Thank you, that's very useful. I'll drive over to Aldi and have a look.

Is it the DC55 which is on offer this week? If so, do you know if it has a self-timer feature on it?
