i am a 3rd year student nurse and have just received my bursary notification award... i nearly had a heart attack when i read it,, instead of receivein aprox £700 per month it tells me im goin to receive £250!!!! after hyperventilating for a while, haveing visions of loosing my home, i rang the helpline, thinking this will be easy to sort,,,, ha after ringing and ringing then being engaged my call was answered. now it seems all notifications havent yet been assessed on the paperwork sent out to students in july so every1 has jsut received notification of basic award. i was told that single parent and child alowances would be added soon?????? and i would be notified when it happens. the lady could not assure me it would happen in time for mypayment date 16 th sept so what the hell do they expect me to do with my mortgage and direct debit payments?? how can they do this? is it legal??
