supermarket flower buckets

I work for a supermarket chain in a petrol station. I manage to get my hand on the flower buckets which are black and ideal for potting things up once you've put holes in. We're told to bin them which is an obscene waste of plastic( they are delivered in buckets). I've already furnished my in laws allotment with the buckets from easter and mothers day . Be cheeky and ask your local store if they have an empties you can have or if they can save them. Save the plastic!! (it will be stores that carry their own branded flowers)

I have used the black square one from Tesco's for a couple of years now. They have an integral handle, not top heavy and are easy to move around.

they are in the gardening section of ours and are 99p for about 16 buckets

Our co op "gives" them away for a donation to the charity tin.

I have tried before at my local tesco and was told it was not their policy to give them away. I will try again.

Note: After decorating the house I have lots of paint tubs, the plastic ones from B&Q. I have clenaed them out. A few holes and painted in left over gloss (outside only) no one would know they were ever paint tubs! foint to be fab for my hanging toms!

I also use one of these black plastic buckets when hand-weeding, they hold quite a bit but then do not get too heavy.
