Try one of the travel agents advertising on the indian channels (SKY channels 800 onwards).

They normally prebook and have loads.

Depends what type of airline you want to travel on.

If you want a cheap cheap airline, the likes of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mahan etc then your local Indian travel agent should be of help.

If you want an airline like BA, Virgin, Lufthansa or KLM then I have found that the travel agents are no cheaper than booking direct via the airlines web site or through a site like https://www.opodo.co.uk, https://www.expedia.co.uk.
