CC Purchases cleared before balance transfer

in Credit cards
Hi all. Took out 0% Barclaycard in Nov but had to use for purchases as had handbag stolen with all my cards. Just noticed being charged interest on those purchases at a high rate. Have been told Balance transfer cleared first before purchases! So I will pay interest on full amount until cleared. Anyway around this folfs or do I just need a new 0% card? many thanks Helen

No way round it I'm afraid. Promotional balances are paid off first leaving your purchases locked in.
Take another 0% card and transfer whole balance off your Barclaycard and keep for purchases while not spending on your new 0% card0 -
