Talk me through credit card please ppl!!!!

Right basically looking at my first credit card to tied me over the summer, good income credit ect just need abit extra to juggle things around, however this is my first credit card so this is what i dont understand, EG card im looking at 0% on purchases for 12 months typical apr 15%, Does this mean the following if i spent £300 on this card there would be no interest for 12 months then afetr the 12months i would pay 15% interest? so it would basically be like a interest free overdraft for 12 months?

Yes but you still have to make a minimum repayment each month (2-5% of the outstanding balance, depends on the card, usually at least £5)

often 0% cards are only given to people with an excellent credit history which usually requires you to have a CC already... but no harm in trying for one but don't make too many applications in a short time.
Obviously you are employed and on the electoral roll.

Try your own Bank first, they will know how you have managed your account, and they will more than likely start you off on a Classic type card (if approved that is), then after a few months try for a better card.

Just make sure that you stick to the T&C's of any card you get.
