Car windscreen scratch - Glass Doctors

I have a scratch on my windsreen right in front of the driver (probably deliberate, though I can't see any other damage.)
Anyway, Autoglass only do chips. Searching the Web I keep coming across an outfit called "Glass Doctors" and on their site they remove such scratches.
My questions are:-
Anyone had a similar problem and how did they solve it?
Anyone had direct experience of "Glass Doctors" or similar company that they can recommend?
I'm not bothered about cost or insurance claims at this stage. Just trying to find out if the scratch is removable and who to use?
Thanks.

They will try and polish it out. This isn't easy as glass is pretty tough.0

If it's quite deep then polishing it out would still leave distorted viewing through it unless they grind it away across quite a width. If it's right in front of you, I think it's quite likely you'll still notice it afterwards and be upset by it.
If it's included on your insurance, then I'd go for a new screen anyway. The excess is probably £50 or so, and windscreen claims don't usually affect your no-claims bonus0 -
yep chances are it wont polish unless they are almost nothing
use you insurance if it covers the glass and get a brand new one0
