I've got two strange problems with Vista..
Currently had Vista on my machine a couple of months now (new machine).
Everytime it boots up the first time from cold the log in screen comes up, I log in then the machine reboots. Then the second time round it's generally ok?
It's not the PSU because once the machine is 'warm' it's fine? Any ideas?
Also I play FM2008, when I close the game down it auto opens Windows Media centre thing?? Why would it do this??
Apart from these two niggles i'm loving Vista

I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!

Actually it COULD be the PSU... have seen problems like this before where a PC could need a few restarts until it reaches a "Better" operating temp.0

I'm at work now but I'll do the Hijack this tomorrow..
If it's all clear guess it must be the PSU strange one though.I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!0 -
flaky psu - metal expands on warming, so could have a poor solder that expands from a partial connection to a solid connection on warming, or could be a driver issue (hey, all Vista problems are driver issues!)IT Field Service Engineer, 20 years with screwdriver and hammer
