  • I would be wary of the coupons in todays daily mail - as they are the ones that say "valid in WHSmiths, Sainsburys, Waitrose and voucher accepting independent stores only". So they are not technically valid in Tescos, though as we all know they will scan, SA willing.

There has been many discussions on other threads and most serious couponers agree that using other supermarkets vouchers (ie Somerfield specific) in Tescos is not on, as they cannot redeem them. Would it not be the same with these ones from the DM?

Please someone correct me if I am wrong

May I stand corrected ... in orthopedic shoes of course ... ;) ... but it should be valid in Tescon's ...

I have no doubt if I am wrong Coupon-mad will come down on me like a ton of bricks ... so i am bracing myself .... :naughty:

    LB ...

PS ... I may be a 'serious couponer' ... but I giggle a bit to myself as I leave the shop ... ;)

    What brand is it please?

It's made by Aqua Optima - sells on Amazon for £18.94 + p&p, so a really good freebie!

And you call me mad, LB?:D ;):D

We can always rely on you for a witty riposte! Hope you haven't been bracing yourself for over an hour though...

TBH I don't know for sure about these but would think they are OK as Tesco do stock the magazine so could claim it back against sales. Anyhoo it's only one of the coupons that mentions those stores isn't it, the other one is completely NSS I think.

I may just take a few of them to Waitrose this week though, it will be nice to shop somewhere else for a change and Waitys are so good with duplicates (within reason of course). I only bought 11 copies of the Daily Mail so easy enough to use the coupons by the weekend.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm finding it near enough impossible to use these. My Tesco won't take any coupon that won't scan (this weeks new rule) ven a nice clear one doesn't work. Do they deffo stock these magazines not seen them in my tesco and they won't try out the numbers to even see whether they will work if scanned. Help

I had the same problem today - neither of them would scan. I gave him two others and they didn't scan either. He wouldn't type in barcode.

More free water filter jugs with today's London Evening Standard - the vendor at Liverpool Street Station says the promotion is running all week, but he has usually run out of the free jugs by early afternoon (so worth getting a lunchtime edition of the paper if you're buying it for the water filter rather than the news!).

after having no joy with the Easy Living voucher I haven't tried again - but the other coupon - after initially being refused - has gone through OK yesterday and today - I use manned tills and just hand them over "to try them please"....thisa happened l;ast month with me, on the day and day after the vouchers came out they weren't working, but later on worked fine....not sure why but worth trying again.

I rarely throw coupons away until well past date.
It is amazing how often coupons which have been rejected - for whatever reason, are suddenly ok to use days or weeks later.
Often down to sa's. Some are willing to accept anything that scans, and some will try everything in their power to get it to scan - inc inputting the code manually.
Others scrutinise every word on the coupon and refuse them for any reason they can think of.
Moral is, be nice to your sa's, and be patient - if at first you don't succeed, smile politely and try again later;)
