The same 2 coupons were in the Mail several weeks ago - and quite a few Tesco stores clamped down on them ! The Easy Living one is available in some stores but not all and the Conde Nast travel one is even harder to find. I've been told by Tesco that so long as ANY store keeps the items the coupons will be accepted but nearly all my stores refused these. A couple even went so far as to check on their computer and said they couldn't trace other magazine.

This mag was available at my local Tesco Extra

  • UPDATE: I bought a couple of DM's at different shops. Some bar codes are clearer that others! Even the clearest barcodes wouldn't scan at my tesco so the SA typed them in. The Code Nast Magazine for £2.70 went through ok but the Easy mag wouldn't go through.... it was very blurry (and she was an old SA) so I'm hoping she mistyped!!!:o

So .... let me get this straight..

I go into tesco,... i buy 10 papers at 5 pounds... using 5 pounds of MOCS to pay for them..

    I basically turn £5 of MOCS into £10-15 ?

And i get a paper for free? (or 10?)

Is there any limit how many papers you can buy with MOCS? Dont they get suspicious u using MOCS to buy papers? hehe.

Yep that's the idea, except if you buy 10 papers you are turning your MOCs into £45 (as there are £4.50 worth in the paper).

But the possibly fuzzy barcodes and short expiry dates may cause a problem so maybe buy a couple to test first, adding the coupons from them into your coupon-pile to buy more Daily Mails as a separate transaction. To stay low profile you could even buy your first 2 copies with real cash (!) in a paper shop on the way to Tesco, then cut out the coupons in the car park up front.

With this short expiry date I think I will only buy 10 copies myself, and will be checking the barcodes first. What is there to be suspicious about, you are doing nothing wrong and they want to sell the papers. When I go to Tesco they know me & my coupons quite well, so I happily tell them I am buying the papers for more coupons, lol!:rotfl:

I will use Internet MOCs on them I.e 6 quid of Internet MOCS to get me 10-12 papers or so.

Whats the expiry date on these? As im going to germany next week and it might not be worth my while converting my coupons.
